... this took me quite a while to do...and i mean a while...
over 2 days i did about 4 hours altogether using a wide range of pencils and the good old rubber to keep me company
i think a full view would be better off because it's such a large picture

this is a better picture of Pheyla with her lover, Izake...who eventually falls very ill and is on death's door...i won't tell anymore
well i was in a literal mood so i thought i'd do some text to accompany it...

here it is...

I took a shaky hand, slowly taking her shoulder in my palm
My mouth was dry, eyes flooding to a blur; I couldn’t bear to tell her…
Her eyes…glistening with a blue glimmer in the candlelight.
Skin soft as silk, the curls in her blonde hair wrapping themselves round my fingers
As if to say ‘don’t leave me, stay with me…forever’
She looked at me, full of innocence “What’s wrong, my love?”
I licked my lips, and then kissed her softly on the lips, she was so beautiful, just like the day I fell for her, so graceful…
Her soft scent of lavender crept up my nostrils…making me fall into a dream world

I was a cursed man, soon to die painfully and alone, I won’t allow her to see me bleed to death…I won’t…
I shook my head, my straw coloured hair dancing a little “Nothing darling, nothing”
It hurt to lie to her…but it was the best for her…
She took a slender hand and placed it on my bare chest…her touch, so warm…
“Don’t leave me Izake, please…” she said, a voice of an angel

I took her hand and squeezed it tight, but carefully not to hurt her,
I gently brought her head to mine, she closed her sapphires knowing she was safe with me
She smiled as I said guilt fully:
“I’ll never leave you, Pheyla…I promise…But...” I froze.
Gaining all courage I said “But, my sweet, dearest Pheyla, even if Death tears us apart we’ll still be together”
I hugged her tightly and kissed her on the forehead and smiled, shakily “Even if Death tears us apart, I’ll be there…”
I gulped, my throat swollen trying to bring back tears “…I’ll be there to protect you”

A tear began to trickle down my cheek; of happiness, that I have such a beautiful maiden in my arms…
And pain…for lying to her, tainting her purity…because I won’t be there for her…not for long…

The curse…will soon take hold of me…but I don’t care really…for I have her for the remainder of my life…a creature that ascended from the heavens itself…

I closed my pale green eyes, letting the tear roll down to my chin…and smiled
Then, calmly, I said softly “I’ll be there…for you…even in Death…heyla my love…”
